Erasmus+, in October the deadline for the Strategic partnerships in the field of youth

erasmus-plusThe Strategic Partnerships of the renewed Erasmus + programme offer the opportunity for organizations active in the fields of education, training and youth, as well as to businesses, public institutions, civil society organizations active in different socio-economic sectors of cooperate in order to implement innovative practices that lead to a teaching, training, learning and youth animation of high quality, institutional modernization and social innovation. Erasmus + offers great flexibility in terms of activities that the Strategic partnerships can be implemented as long as the proposal demonstrates that these activities are the most appropriate for achieving the objectives defined for the project. The Strategic partnerships are to develop and implement joint initiatives and projects that promote active citizenship, social innovation, participation in democratic life and entrepreneurship through peer learning and exchange of experiences. UN Women and MasterCard – Project Inspire 2014

ispireProject Inspire is a joint initiative from the Singapore Committee for UN Women and MasterCard to help create a better world for women and girls in Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, and Africa. EU-FAO program on forest management

HIF grants to innovate humanitarian aid

hifHIF (Humanitarian Innovation Fund) Fund of the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) has opened a process of expression of interest for its program of grants to non-profit institutions. Grants may be requested for innovative projects in the design phase, or implementation of humanitarian aid. OSIWA Grants for the governance of Natural Resources

OSIWAOSIWA, a West African program of the Open Society Initiative, works to promote political and economic governance that contributes towards justice and human rights in West Africa. The 2014 call for proposals includes an objective to improve frameworks for managing natural resources in the following countries: Ghana, Guinea, Liberia, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, and Sierra Leone. OSIWA makes most of its grants to local organizations in West Africa, although it will also fund other types of organizations in rare and limited circumstances. There is no maximum grant size. 5 Milion euros for development projects on food security

As announced in January, the Lombardy Region, the City of Milan and the Cariplo Foundation have launched today the joint call for support to cooperation projects. Italian Cooperation approves two emergency initiatives for South Sudan and Ethiopia

Until March 28 Italian NGOs can submit project proposals to contribute to the initiatives of emergency approved by the Italian Cooperation for South Sudan and Ethiopia. Both programs will be managed by the Italian Cooperation through the UTL of Addis Ababa. The first is the initiative of emergency in favor of the south Sudanese population affected by the crisis (AID 10092) and the second for the reduction of risk in the areas of Water, Sanitation and Environmental Health in southern Ethiopia (AID 9386 – Phase III). Erasmus+ a new opportunity for NGOs and Cooperation

Forget the Erasmus of ten years ago, the program that has allowed ,since 1987, more than three million students to make a university experience abroad. The text approved by the European Council on 19 November 2013 and by the European Parliament is not just a mobility scheme for university students. The new name is Erasmus + and it is bringing together all previous programs in the fields of education, training, youth and sports.
