General context of the project

The Supply Intern will collaborate with the Grants Unit and HQ Supply Coordinator in the development of tools and methodologies to ensure an effective, transparent and compliant management of INTERSOS global and in-country Supply-Chain.

General purpose of the position

The Supply Intern will be able to understand the key aspects of humanitarian supply-chain management.

Main responsibilities and tasks

Under the supervision of the Supply Coordinator, the Supply Intern will collaborate with the HQ/Country Logistics Departments of INTERSOS missions around the world, and be involved in areas such as Procurement, Order Management, Warehousing and Stock Management and Freight Transportation, supporting several activities namely:

  • Development of tools and SOP’s related with Supply-Chain management
  • International Procurement
  • Tender draft and revision
  • Creation of content for INTERSOS’s Supply Portal
  • Supply Chain and market analysis
  • Reporting

Required profile and experience


  • BA or MsC in Management, Logistics or Supply-Chain (or another relevant field)

Professional Experience

  • A previous volunteering/internship activity within humanitarian / charity sector is preferred

Professional Requirements

  • Good command of Office
  • At ease using PC and technology in general


  • Italian, English, French

Personal Requirements

  • Organizational skills
  • Communication skills
  • Passion for the humanitarian sector
