We are looking for a dynamic and passionate individual to join our Mozambique team as Team Leader.
Main objective of the Team Leader: management of a FFH/WB project for the integrated census of socio-economic, land and housing conditions of the families in 4 cities of Mozambique.

Reporting to: Program Director (1st supervisor) and Country Representative (2nd supervisor)
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Management and coordination of project activities
- Together with the project team, planning and development of activities necessary for the census
- Support in the supervision and verification of administrative and procurement procedures
- Coordination of activities with respect to the schedule defined by the chronogram
- Drafting, revision and updating of technical documents such as: ToR, Financing Proposals, General Operational Plans etc.
- Development of relations with local partners and stakeholders involved in the project (institutions, donors, community)
- Preparation of expected deliverables, and narrative and accounting reports of the project to the donor and competent authorities
- Support for verifying the correctness of the administrative reporting of project expenses
- Coordination of monitoring activities.
Essential Requirements:
- Master’s degree in economics, or local development, or sociology, or related fields
- Technician with minimum of 10 years of experience undertaking household surveys and/or population census in low-income countries
- 5 years (or over 5 projects) experiences leading project management of censuses or surveys
- Proven management experience in land cadaster activities in urban areas will be considered an advantage.
Other required skills and experiences:
- Good knowledge of Minimum Humanitarian Standards (SPHERE) and Core Humanitarian Standards (CHS)
- Proficient knowledge of the main Office IT tools, in particular Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Strong capacities of financial management and planning
- Leadership and training skills
- Corporate managing and organizational skills
- Capacities of managing of external audits
- Previous work experience in the international cooperation sector in Africa or Mozambique and/or knowledge of Portuguese language is an added value
