The Strategic Partnerships of the renewed Erasmus + programme offer the opportunity for organizations active in the fields of education, training and youth, as well as to businesses, public institutions, civil society organizations active in different socio-economic sectors of cooperate in order to implement innovative practices that lead to a teaching, training, learning and youth animation of high quality, institutional modernization and social innovation. Erasmus + offers great flexibility in terms of activities that the Strategic partnerships can be implemented as long as the proposal demonstrates that these activities are the most appropriate for achieving the objectives defined for the project. The Strategic partnerships are to develop and implement joint initiatives and projects that promote active citizenship, social innovation, participation in democratic life and entrepreneurship through peer learning and exchange of experiences. The first deadline for this action of the program is set for October 1, 2014.

objectives:
The overall objective of the call is to contribute to European cooperation and the exchange of good practices in the field of non-formal education and informal learning, active citizenship and employment opportunities for young people.
activities:
Strategic partnerships to develop and implement joint initiatives and projects that promote active citizenship, social innovation, participation in democratic life and entrepreneurship through peer learning and the exchange of experiences such as:
activities that strengthen the cooperation between youth organizations in order to establish trade practices;
activities that promote the development, testing and / or implementation of innovative practices in the field of youth;
activities that facilitate the recognition and validation of knowledge, skills and competences acquired through non-formal learning and informal learning;
cooperation activities between regional authorities to promote the development of youth and their integration in the actions of local and regional development;
transnational initiatives that promote entrepreneurial culture and mindset and skills to foster active citizenship and entrepreneurship (including social entrepreneurship).
budget:
Available financial resources: 174.2 million euro.
contribution:
The maximum ammount of the grant is € 150,000 per year.
The funding mechanisms applied under the Erasmus program +, in most cases, provides grants based on unit costs and in some other cases in the form of a lump sum or fixed percentage. In this way the principles of co-financing and non-profit is assured because the Commission sets out in advance the rates and the percentage of eligible cost. This in addition to facilitating the calculation of the grant requested permit the realistic financial planning of the project, not justification for additional funding and facilitate the reporting of costs.
The projects of strategic partnership have a transnational dimension and must involve at least three organizations from three different countries among those eligible.
Projects should have a duration of between 6 months and 2 years.
