JOB PURPOSE
The Transformative Partnership Expert contributes to the SC Italy Transformative Partnership strategy by supporting the development and design of high impact partnerships, with a strong focus on supply chain–related collaborations and impact driven, multi stakeholder partnerships. The role is responsible for the identification and development of projects and programs that can be integrated into responsible and sustainable supply chains and leverage on opportunities with private partners by positioning SC as partner of choice, with the ability to develop compelling value propositions that align business priorities with measurable social impact.
The position contributes to advancing a strategic and innovative approach to corporate partners and private actors, leveraging their technical expertise, operational presence, and financial resources to deliver development outcomes at scale. Working closely with I nternational Programs and Corporate teams, the role supports the implementation of the Transformative Partnership strategy, fostering partnerships that go beyond funding to drive systemic changes and sustainable impact. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of program design and funding mechanisms, and the ability to translate ESG, human rights, and due diligence standards into actionable inputs for partnership design, proposal development, and impact oriented donor engagement.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy development and opportunities identification
• Supports the development and implementation of SC Italy Transformative Partnerships strategy in close coordination with other relevant SC departments, to drive wider value and impact for children through the development of cutting-edge programs.
• Contributes to the definition of the value chain strategy for SC intl programs.
• Responsible for strategic intelligence and market studies aimed at identifying high-impact private sector partnership opportunities, ensuring strong alignment with Save the Children’s strategic priorities and private sector agendas.
• Coordinates the analysis and mapping of private and multistakeholder opportunities (i.e Global Gateway) related to key corporates and other relevant stakeholders (including academia and institutions).
• Cont ributes to the go/no-go decision process for assigned opportunities, through a comprehensive assessment of risks, value potential and business implications.
• Supports the development of an engagement strategy for Transformative Partnerships.
Partnership development and execution
• Coordinates the development of concept notes and full proposals for transformative programs design in cooperation with relevant SC IT teams, academia, corporates and other strategic stakeholders.
• Participates to cross-functional working groups on supply chain, innovation, innovative finance and innovative business model.
• Supports the development of talking points, high-quality value propositions and pitches for new partnerships.
• Actively contributes to the engagement of strategic corporate partners and maintains an oversight of key partnerships during the project implementation, to ensure that success and challenges are shared timely with donors.
TP learning and external representation
• Supports coordination with other SC Ita functions related to Innovative Finance, Corporate, Advocacy and others as needed.
• Represents SC Italy in multi-stakeholder and private sector relevant fora and, where relevant, supports the engagement with institutional donors.
• Contributes to learning processes from existing partnership within SC Italy ensuring that learnings are shared and drawn into new project ideas.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
University degree in Economics, Business, Development Studies, Sustainability, or related fields.
• A minimum of 4–6 years of proven experience in building strategic partnerships, with a strong focus on corporate partners, alongside NGOs and public institutions.
• Experience in designing and implementing collaborative projects with external partners, with exposure to multi-stakeholder or public–private initiatives considered a plus.
• Strong understanding of corporate sustainability, ESG frameworks, or shared value approaches.
• Previous experiences in developing countries is a plus.
