Scadenza candidature 21/12/2020 Fundraising Consultant/ Grant writer - Mozambico Role: Fundraising Consultant/ Grant writer Location: Mozambique – Maputo Starting date: 06/01/2021 Length of contract: 6 months extendable Deadline for applications: 21/12/2020 In this occasion, due to the need to cover this position as soon as possible and the long procedures to obtain work visas for the new expat staff, in this occasion we will accept only applications from candidates who have the right to work in the Country Objective of the position: Working closely with Mozambique Program Coordinator and Africa Regional Lead the fundraising consultant will identify and develop grant proposals and applications, through establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders including donors and partners. He/she will proactively lead all needed step to develop successful projects applications including, working with COSV staff in alignment with the strategy to gather information, define appropriate M&E frameworks and budgets. Description of the role:  • Responsible monitoring and defying relevant funding opportunities • Discuss project opportunities with team members and potential partners within existing COSV networks and outside; • Draft high-quality grant proposal including narrative applications, budgets and all supporting documents; • Lead team efforts needed for the proposals’ development including researching, collecting data, integrating lessons learned from previous projects, drafting narratives and financial planning; • Liaise with current and potential donors to generate interest in COSV programme through sharing our mission, vision and successes; through meetings, and other relevant platforms of exchange • Coordinate and follow up on the progress of submitted proposals; • Support the colleagues in developing their own capacity with regards to external funding, proposal development, and reporting and monitoring of funded projects Candidate Specification Essential competency and experience requirements: • Master’s Degree/Academic level and equivalent professional experience in Project Management or International Development; • 3-5 years of work experience in fundraising, co-financing and grant writing; with specific experience in EU grants, foundations, and government sources; • 3 years’ experience in project management, and understanding of design, monitoring & evaluation and learning • Full professional fluency in written and verbal English, fluency, Italian are an asset • Ability to work in teams • Ability to prioritize and deliver results on time • Must be flexible, adaptable, and quick learner • Office management and organizational skills NOTE: To apply, please send an updated cv with references to: hr@cosv.org.
