Social Media Officer (English language)
JCP SRL is selecting a Social Media Officer with English language knowledge of at least level C1, to be included in its operational office in Reggio Emilia, Italy. Duration: 6 months. Deadline for applications 15/09/2021
Type of contract: private internship with remuneration
JCP Srl, Italy, is a specialised Knowledge Transfer and Capacity Building company providing specialist consulting services in all spheres of international, donor-funded contracts, particularly but not limited to the field of Management of Technical Assistance Development Projects including Grant Scheme components, as well as International Cooperation and Development Communication Projects within framework contracts implemented in European Union, Southern and Eastern Neighbourhood Regions and beyond with a special emphasis on EU Funded programmes.
JCP Srl boasts extensive in-house experience in implementing and providing institutional building in procedures established by the European Commission for Procurement and Grants Scheme Management as per Practical Guide to Contract Procedures for EU External Actions. Additionally, the company is currently implementing the 95M€ EEA and Norway Global Fund for Youth Employment and Fund for Regional Cooperation as the Fund Operator which includes the customised web-based component for the Grant Scheme Management and Monitoring Tool (EGREG), providing technical assistance and the management of two bimonthly online magazines as per communication activities.
JCP is currently implementing diverse set of projects covering all the communication sectors ranging from drafting communication strategies, awareness campaigns, implementation of communication plans, organisation of film festivals, photo exhibitions, organisation of workshops, website design and content development, and interventions via social media platforms and modalities; multimedia products; awareness campaigns; graphic design as well as publications and editorials in different languages mostly in English, French, Spanish and Arabic.

General purpose of the position
Contributing to the implementation of communication strategy through social media to achieve dissemination and promotional objectives through content diffusion, awareness and digital campaigns. Aiming at building JCP visibility, and bringing new audiences closer to the company, enhancing the participation and support of existing ones.
Job Summary:
The candidate shall be responsible for providing communication and PR contents and managing online platforms, including organisation of events if necessary. He/she must be creative, ambitious, proactive and energetic with plenty of ideas and solutions for designing, writing and communicating optimised content. Candidate must be willing to re-locate to Brussels firstly and to other countries when possible and if needed.
Main responsibilities and tasks
- Contributes to the definition of the editorial plan for the production of communications materials;
- Manages and updates of social media channels: analyses and proposes the social media marketing strategy, implements the weekly and daily social media planning, designs and creates visual contents;
- Manages and supports the implementation of two Online Magazines in collaboration with the Editorial Team.
- Provides reports, monitors the social media market, identifying new tools and proposing them;
- Manages the company’s video & photo archive
- Supports the management of the institutional website.
Required profile and experience
Education
- Bachelor degree in Communication, Social Science, Political Science or any relevant subject is preferred;
- Training/Courses/Master in Social Media Management will be considered a plus.
Professional Experience
- Minimum 6 months of experience in Social Media Management within a medium-size organization/company;
- Previous experience will be considered a plus.
Professional Requirements
- Excellent management of ADV on Facebook and Twitter with the ability to create an advanced retargeting campaign and test new audiences;
- Strong experience in visual content creation for Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram;
- Video Editing skills at minimum level;
- Proficient user of the Office Suite Programmes;
- WordPress and SEO knowledge will be considered a plus.
Languages
Position 1:
- Fluent Italian and English.
- Spanish knowledge will be considered a plus.
Position 2:
- Fluent Italian and French.
- Spanish or English knowledge will be considered a plus.
