Dependents: Non-family duty station

General context of the project

The INTERSOS-UNHCR PartecipAzione programme aims at enhancing the capacities of refugee-led and community-based organizations that focus their activities on promoting participation of refugees and asylum seekers, social cohesion with local community and integration opportunities at local and national levels.

General purpose of the position

The Officer will be the main implementer of the activities dedicated to the training scheme pillar of the program. He/She will be responsible of coordinating the training programme for newly selected and senior CBOs/RLOs. Moreover, he/she will be in charge of coordinating all other training activities and initiatives that will take place during the lifecycle of the project, liaising with different stakeholders.

Main responsibilities and tasks

  • Complete tasks assigned by PM in the frame of the general project activities;
  • Represent locally INTERSOS and the programme;
  • Be the focal point for data and activities related to the training programme;
  • Upon approval from Communication Dept. and Project Manager, represent the programme with media;
  • Liaise with the local stakeholders, public and private associations, for the implementation of the programme;
  • Be responsible for all activities concerning the coaching sector of the programme;
  • Be responsible for the development and management of the online e-learning platform;
  • Be competent in preparing project proposals, monitor funding opportunities, stimulate active participation of CBOs in the platform, propose and implement dedicated training activities;
  • Be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with community-based organizations;
  • Help and support the PM in the preparation and implementation of the National and Regional Events.

Required profile and experience


  • Bachelor/Master’s Degree in Humanistics, International Cooperation and Development, International Relationships, Political Sciences and similar.
  • Nice to have Project Cycle Management knowledge.

Professional Experience

  • 2-3 years of experience working in the International Cooperation sector as a coach, facilitator or similar
  • Exprience working with local ngo/associations
  •  Experience in Italy is preferred.

Professional Requirements

  • Project Cycle Management knowledge
  • Experience in delivering coaching sessions to individual or groups


Fluency in English and Italian languages is essential.
