The Junior Project Officer (JPO) for Camp Coordination and Camp Management (CCCM) will facilitate coordination with and between all actors in the camp, including government representatives, UN agencies, NGOs and other service providers, and refugee groups.
• The JPO will supervise, in coordination with the Program Manager, the CCCM teams in different districts of Cabo Delgado, ensuring the development and implementation of quarterly, monthly and weekly implementation plan.
• The JPO will lead centres management meetings with IDPs committee representatives, UN agencies, INGOs and LNGOs providing services to share activities updates, discuss trends and best-practices; this forum will be used to engage this wider group in action plans and the JPO will follow up action points agreed upon.
• The JPO will support the CCCM teams in the development and implementation of activities in the camp and facilitate the project staff on keeping an activity/distribution tracking sheet for each site. This will be shared with all actors in the centres. This reporting table will assist in the identification of gaps and allow for more comprehensive coordination among actors.
• The JPO will facilitate (through the CCCM and the community engagement officer) the coordination of actors in the centres working in similar sectors to ensure proper information sharing and regular meetings to identify gaps and ensure that duplication is avoided where possible.
• In order to mitigate beneficiary fatigue around assessments, the JPO will ensure that all agency assessments within the IDPs and host community are coordinated and information is shared. This will be done through collecting all assessments that have been completed, information on planned assessments and ToRs for assessments from organizations leading assessments.
• In collaboration with UNHCR and the government, the JPO will facilitate visits to the camp for external stakeholders as and when appropriate.
• The JPO will coordinate the CCCM team in the implementation of a training plan that covers all planned capacity building activities in each sector in which actors are working. This information will be provided by organizations, agencies and the government as it becomes available. Where p
• Preferable academic studies in Development, Economics, International Relations, Social Sciences (education, anthropology, sociology…) or Demography; a Master on Humanitarian Studies or African Studies an asset
• Previous working experience in Project Management (minimum 2 years) in community involvement/community development projects and/or information management
• Good knowledge of Minimum Humanitarian Standards (SPHERE) and Core Humanitarian Standards (CHS)
• Experience in coordinating surveys and regular data collection is an asset;
• Excellent knowledge of Ms. Office package
• Fluent in English
• Knowledge of Portuguese will be an asset
• Previous experience in CCCM projects is an asset
• Previous experience in Mozambique an asset

• Strong internal and external coordination and representation skills
• Strong capacity to work under-pressure
