TriM, Translate into Meaning is a social good company composed of a team of multi-disciplinary experts aiming at strengthening the weather monitoring and warning capacity of people to protect and promote the well-being of communities, animals and environments in remote and underserved areas of the world.
We work in the Development Cooperation sector with a variety of NGOs, mainly in Africa.
We are also passionate about sailing and use a similar approach with our athletes to support them with meaningful weather information.
THE ROLE
We are looking for a new colleague to join our team of consultants and support us in the following areas concerning our Development and Cooperation’s activities:
Business Development
● Support the elaboration of our Business Development strategy
● Identify new clients, generate interest from potential clients and partners
● Research and build relationships with new clients
● Convince potential partners, build rapport with existing and developing opportunities
● Come up with new approaches and pitch them
● Elaborate documents and communication material to pitch our work
● Enhance existing relationships by presenting new products and services
● Support the development of new project proposals, through assessments, writing applications and budgets, liaising with partners
Project Management
● Manage the relationship with the client and relevant stakeholders
● Develop a project plan to monitor and track progress
● Develop project documents to support the implementation
● Organize and facilitate meetings, training and workshops online and with a hybrid approach
● Support activities’ documentation and write reports
Service design and development
● Provide ideas to improve the quality and effectiveness of our services
● Design and develop tools to guide partners and provide technical assistance
● Design and develop tools for training and community engagement
● Contribute to organizational learning and strategic discussions
THE PROFILE
The ideal candidate should fit the following requirements:
Education
● Relevant educational background. University degree in related matters, from Environmental Sciences, Agriculture and Rural Development to Cooperation and Development, Social Sciences, Political Sciences
Experience
● At least 3 years experience working in Cooperation and Development projects and/or in collaboration with NGOs
● At least 3 years experience working in multi-disciplinary teams
● At least 1 year experience working in challenging environments
● Experience working with data collection and analysis is a plus
● Demonstrated ability to prepare concept notes and proposals
Languages
● Excellent written and spoken knowledge of English
● Good written and spoken knowledge of French and Portuguese is a plus
Personal skills
● Ability to work independently following an agreed work plan
● Cultural awareness and flexibility to work in different contexts and topics
● Pro-activity in proposing solutions, ideas and strategies
● Highly motivated with the ability to work and deliver under short deadlines
Tools
● Good knowledge of interactive and digital tools (laptop and smartphone)
