Job description
Still I Rise, an international NGO, works towards development and the realization of humanitarian projects aiming at providing education and support to refugee children and youth, is looking for a Major Donors & Corporate Manager, to join the Fundraising Department of Still I Rise. The selected candidate will be responsible for securing Major Donors donations over 15.000 € (including any donations from philanthropists) and for all the Corporate Donors gifts (also defined as a whole “the donors’ ‘). Supporting the Fundraising Department’s Director, the holder will prove strong networking skills, and focus on upgrading existing donors and cultivating new ones; qualifying prospects; building relationships, and making requests for a range of Still I Rise projects. The holder will also improve, update and manage all dedicated existing communications, donor care, reporting and events programmes. When necessary the holder will create all new programs needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Effectively manage a portfolio of existing major and corporate donors, developing these relationships and maximizing their support
- Identify and qualify potential corporate donors in accordance with Still I Rise fundraising policies, approaching and engaging them across the widest variety of channels and tools available
- Develop cultivation donors plans
- Convert all high-value donors prospects at a desired giving level, working across our fundraising portfolio to link the donor with the right project or focus for their giving
- Produce compelling and engaging, detailed and donors oriented proposals working in collaboration with the Department director
- To provide outstanding stewardship to all donors: working to offer unique opportunities
- Work with the Fundraising Director to refine and implement all fundraising strategies and tactics. as well as contributing to the drafting of annual forecasts (fund collection and charges)
- Overview all Still I Rise communication to maximize positive effects on the donors
- Create and maintain prospect pipelines, regularly providing information for internal reports and KPI dashboards
- Work towards an agreed income target
- Be active in the corporate fundraising area, know and follow the latest fundraising legislation and codes of conduct, contribute to the growth of Still I Rise in the CSR environment
Essential Skills & Requirements
- Clear and concise written and oral communication, ability and creativity nrl make presentations, proposals and reports, with particular attention to the needs of donors and the expected level
- Excellent networking skills, relationship building and management
- Proven experience in working with high-level supporters (Major and Corporate Donors
- Track record of success in converting prospects to major donors
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage a varied workload, taking initiative and often working to tight deadlines
- Familiar with Corporate donation trends at italian and international level
- Full working proficiency of English both written and oral
Desirable Skills & Requirements
- Experience of using fundraising CRM databases, Slack platform, Google Drive.
- Understanding of GDPR legislation and best practice
- Familiar with philanthropy trends
- Having held similar positions in other organizations
- Having already developed its own persona donors portfolio
- Working proficiency in Italian, French, Spanish or Arabic is considered an asset
