To provide coordination between partners and with the Donor as well as supervising the implementation of the “Beyond Health: right to health and protection of children, young people and vulnerable adults in the governorate of Nablus” intervention funded by Italian Agency for Development and Cooperation.
The action contributes to increasing access to and quality of basic health and social services and protection services for children, young people and vulnerable adults in the governorate of Nablus thanks to: improving of the supply of quality basic social and health services protection mechanisms for 3,125 Palestinian men, women, youth, and children (including 117 people with disabilities), and improving the capacity to respond to emergency health and social needs in the Old City of Nablus, in Beita and Huwwara.
Main tasks and responsibilities
• Ensure coordination with the Donor;
• Ensure efficient coordination with all of the project partners;
• Preparation of narrative and financial quality reporting, in line with AVSI and Donor’s guidelines;
• Support the Financial Manager in the preparation of financial support documents;
• Constant supervision of the program, monitoring qualitative implementation as well as sound budget spending of projects and coordinating AVSI’s staff in direct implementation, ensuring full procedural compliance;
• Supervise the training of the Social Workers;
• Supervise the production of the MHPSS and Life Skills manuals;
• Collaborate with the Logistics officer and Procurement officer in the procurement of the materials for Nablus Old City and Huwwara health centers;
• Collaborate with the MEAL officer in the drafting of the monitoring plan;
• Set up a learning agenda for the project;
• Support the Country Representative in drafting a Health and Protection Theory of change;
• Support the Country Representative and AVSI staff in drsfting project proposals.
Essential Requirements
Education:
• M.A. in Public Health and/or Degree in medicine and surgery
Work Experience:
• Minimum 3 years of experience in project management
• 2 years of experience in health projects management;
• Previous experience in health and protection sectors
Language Proficiency:
• Fluency in English and Arabic, both written and verbal
• Fluency in Italian, both written and verbal
