ASERI presenta la nuova edizione del Master in International Cooperation and Development

ASERI, l'Alta Scuola di Economia e Relazioni Internazionali dell'Università Cattolica di Milano presenta la XXI° edizione del Master in International Cooperation and Development. Il Master, rivolto a studenti e a professionisti della cooperazione internazionale, fornisce competenze avanzate per la progettazione e gestione di iniziative internazionali nel settore della cooperazione e dello sviluppo sostenibile. Il corso, full-time in lingua inglese, si tiene a Milano, da gennaio a dicembre 2027 e verrà presentato online giovedì 10 settembre alle ore 18.00.

Master in International Cooperation and Development - MICAD

In a world increasingly shaped by interconnected crises, persistent inequalities, conflicts, and humanitarian emergencies, there is a growing need for solid analytical tools, professional skills, the ability to understand complex contexts, and to bridge theory and practice. It is within this framework that the Master in International Cooperation and Development (MICAD) at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, promoted by ASERI – Graduate School of Economics and International Relations, is positioned.

One of MICAD’s distinctive features is its interdisciplinary approach. Development issues are explored by bringing together economics, law and institutions, geopolitics, conflicts and post-conflict contexts, project cycle management, and Theory of Change. This academic dimension is complemented by a strong professional focus on cooperation actors and strategies, emergency prevention and management, as well as recovery and reconstruction phases. The programme combines lectures and workshops, encouraging interaction with a faculty composed of academics and professionals working in the field of international cooperation. Exposure to different perspectives helps students develop technical skills, analytical abilities, and problem-solving capabilities.

The professional dimension takes centre stage during the second part of the academic year. After six months of classroom-based training, students dedicate approximately five months to an internship experience and the development of their final Project Work. The internship, lasting a minimum of three months, can take place in Italy or abroad and provides students with the opportunity to put their knowledge into practice, gain first-hand experience of the sector, and begin shaping their professional path across a range of fields, including international organisations, NGOs, diplomatic and governmental institutions, companies and social enterprises, foundations, research centres, and think tanks.
