Scadenza candidature 05/06/2022 Psychologist - Ucraina WORK CONTEXT Cesvi is an Italian-based NGO. The Organization in partnership with Alliance2015 network is currently responding to the humanitarian crisis followed to the conflict in Ukraine. Cesvi current intervention areas are: Khmelnytskyi and Ternopil Oblasts, with the possibility of including further areas of intervention as the crisis evolves. Cesvi response in Ukraine is focused on the Protection and Psycho Social support of the most vulnerable population affected by the conflict. The planned activities include but are not limited to:

• Identification and set-up of a safe space, including space management SOPs
• Mental health support for staff and volunteers
• Screening for vulnerabilities and assessment/monitoring of the needs of the targeted population
• Provision of MHPSS services (psychosocial first aid, individual and group support)
• Information and awareness on protection risks
• Training of local stakeholders on protection approaches and safeguarding.

JOB DESCRIPTION The collaboration will start in June. The main duty station will be Khmelnytskyi, Ukraine, with frequent missions to other areas of intervention, according to accessibility and security conditions. The Psychologist will respond to the Emergency Team in HQ and will work in close collaboration with the Regional Emergency Coordinator based in Poland and Cesvi team in the field. The Psychologist will: Conduct CP-PSS technical support needs assessment for staff and partner organizations Contribute to the development and consolidation of the strategy of intervention of Cesvi in the context of the Ukrainian crisis, designing the activities related to Pyscho-social support component Identify objectives in the psycho-social field with a view to community empowerment Ensure psychosocial support is appropriately reflected in the programme documents, when requested Elaborate contextual analysis Support in the selection process of any necessary human resources Identify and deliver of trainings on psychosocial support for trauma and neurophysiological issues ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS Degree and professional qualification in Psychology and Master’s Degree in Emergency Psychology Other suitable profiles: Degree in Political science, sociology or related, with Master’s degree and specific postgraduate studies in the psycho-social field. Knowledge of child protection and psychosocial intervention programs within the humanitarian and development sector Knowledge of humanitarian standards (CHS, Sphere, MSCP, Code of Conduct, CPiE, IASC MHPSS, IASC Case Management etc.) Participation in humanitarian international cooperation missions in the impact and/or immediate post-impact phase, preferably in war contexts Experience in project management in international and national contexts Ability to carry out community assessment with standardised and non-standardised instruments, with particular attention to the ability to carry out adequate assessment of the context and psycho-social needs of affected communities Ability to perform clinical-diagnostic, individual and community interpretations Knowledge and competence in the use of tools for the prevention and treatment of acute stress, adjustment and post-traumatic stress disorders Ability to adapt and integrate existing project aims Strong skills and abilities in: identification of objectives in the psycho-social field with a view to community empowerment, contextual analysis, feasibility study and risk analysis, identification and creation of organisational structures (in terms of logistics and human resources), identification-assessment-selection of any necessary human resources High planning and problem-solving skills Knowledge of control and revision strategies Knowledge of team building and team working methodology Aptitude for capacity development Aptitude in perceiving difficulty as a possibility Leadership and motivational skills Adaptability and flexibility Aptitude for recognising and respecting roles High communication and mediation skills Proficiency in English, written and spoken Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS Participation in interventions in emergency and post-emergency contexts Knowledge of local organization capacity building approaches and methodologies Previous working experiences with INGOs in humanitarian contexts Proficiency in Ukrainian, written and spoken SAFEGUARDING Cesvi has a zero-tolerance approach to any harm to, or exploitation of, a child or a vulnerable adult by any of our staff, related persons or partners.
